You need to take a hard look at your space. You only have so
much room for your stuff. You need room for YOU.
Start with removing all trash & recycling.
This includes stuff you no longer need, stuff others have given
you that you don't like (it's the thought that counts.........like they
didn't want it but it was too good to throw out) Also stuff you've
dragged home & had second thoughts.
Put your stuff away. Sorry but it's a fact of life unless you live
with your Mom.
If there's still too much clutter..........edit some more.
When things have a home it will be much easier to clean.
Daily chores are easiest if you make it easy for the way you clean.
I keep bathroom cleaning stuff in an icebucket tucked in beside the toilet.
Under the kitchen sink is a roll of paper towels, glass cleaner & an all purpose spray.
A duster tucked away in the bedroom & livingroom is handy.
Cleaning can be quick & easy if it's done often.
Try for a daily commitment of 15 minutes to pick up & clean. See
how much gets done. If you get inspired go for a few minutes more.
Don't forget.......... there's always going to be more stuff. Get it down to a manageable amount & get rid of something when you get something new.
A few ideas......... good luck.

Tons of money spent on house service payrolls by mastering the trick of effective time management focused on house cleaning.
First: Fully clean the house as you want it to stay.
Next: When a cleaning task comes, find the quickest way to get it done. The secret here is NOT to have two or more cleaning tasks come up at the same time.
Make "rounds" every other day around your house....and tidy up when necessary. Also note that most time cleaning house is wasted letting time lapse when.....say.....the washing machine shuts off and the clothes need to go in the dryer.
Attending to such right when the machine shuts and opening the dryer when it shuts down will amaze you how fast these appliances work and you'll be even more amazed how fast putting the clothes up properly gets done too.

well i have a few answers to that. 1- you could get a Maid since u hate cleaning. 2- stay ontop of cleaning.. like after u eat right away wash it. Soon as you think ur clothes are enuff for a load. Wash them immediatly dont be lazy and wait. The more you get in routine of doing things right away. The easier it is and more TIME YOU have to waste and do things. Believe me it works..

Start by clearing a space in which you can separate the clutter by categories...save, donate, trash.
All things that have been saved separate by categories as well.
Use everyday, sometimes, etc...Make or purchase containers for those separated saved items, preferably see through containers, and mark as well. Lastly, purchase or make shelves in which to store these see through containers with your saved used items in your de-cluttered home. Before you add additional things, throw away or donate those that are not being used.

Sounds like you need to get rid of a lot of stuff first. Donate what you can, toss the rest. Keep only what you truly love or truly need. The less you own, the easier your life is and the neater your home looks. For the things you choose to keep, have cabinets or closets with doors you can close. That way you only have to look at the stuff when you need it. Word of the day: Purge!

If you hate cleaning , it is best that if you have kids to give them a room that they are only allowed to play in. Lay down rules for the house and stick with them I have four in the house plus I'm a daycare provider. so the rule of the game you use you wash it to lay in it you pick it up and so on and so forth.

Go to Freecycle.com and give away most of your clutter. Keep only what you really need and you'll find it's more manageable.

I cannot recommend FlyLady enough!!! It's not a magic pill, your home won't get clean in a day, but if you follow it (even a little bit is more than nothing) you will notice an improvement.
