The weather started getting rough
that wooden boat was junk
if not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Minnow would be SUNK.

Perhaps it's supposed to allude to the fact that they just weren't courageous or fearless. After all, the two dolts Gilligan and the Skipper were the reason the rest of them were there.

They made it through the the storm,if they had not the minnow would be at the bottom of the sea...So they made it through and found that tiny island...It was a silly show but i liked it...

They weren't really lost, they were inside my TV the whole time. Sometime I pretend I'm not watching and move my eyes back to the screen and I catch them looking at me. I'm not really from here.

LOL .. that's actually crossed my mind, but a long time ago.
They only saved their ship because they were scared. Nothing brave about saving your own butt.
But, hey, being "lost" on a quiet side of Hawaii ain't all that bad, now is it?

HA! Never thought of it that way. Good take.
BTW it's odd they could make a working telephone from cocoanut shells but couldn't repair a hole in the boat.

I think they meant lost as in under water, drowned, dead, sunk type of lost. I LOVE that song, by the way!! :)
