I don't think it's conceeded at all. I think it's wonderful that you drew a picture that you really liked. My daughter has done that and puts it on her room wall, in the family room on the wall. You should be proud of your drawings!

Well, your teacher is very... Blunt! To have it above the head of your bed is a little bit unusual, and I would say a bit different in significance than just having it in your room. It isn't conceited to appreciate art, even if it is your own, but universally, appreciating anything too much that is your own achievement is something others will notice and/or criticize inevitably. You still have the right to appreciate it, though.

Balderash! Why shouldn't you enjoy your own work! That's not conceit - it's self-exploration. Enjoy it; reflect on it. When you grow tired of it you will know you have learned something towards making another picture. But don't throw it away. It's suprising how something you have grown out of can stimulate something new, some day years later. Keep drawing!

You should display your artwork wherever you want. My husband is an artist and he has sketches all over the walls of our home. He is the least conceited person I know. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your accomplishments.

That's not conceited. Be proud of your work! I used to do that when I drew. Haven't done so in a while though. I miss drawing...

Show it off...it's something you should be proud of. What good is creating art if no one else can see it to appreciate it? It'll also inspire you to keep drawing.

Your teacher doesn't know what he's talking about. If you want to put the picture in your room, then do it. I myself have 2 paintings I made in my room.

Not at all: it sounds fine. Artists hang their own works at home all the time.

Perhaps your teacher just meant it as teasing?

Well, maybe above your bed is a bit much, but if you are proud of it then display it!
