They got you to ask this question. I've seen wars come and go, and soldiers forgotten. This is a weekend to remember why.

Well, if those folks should take their Kerry stickers off, all the rest should take their "W (Dumbya?) The President" off, for damn sure. False advertising. Maybe "W The President....How's that working out for ya?" Of course, I'm sure we'd be $2.3 TRILLION in debt to the world with Kerry. Didn't like him, but I'd take Stalin over today.
CORRECT: "Nonprofits" like those with the stickers contribute little to our troops. Hell, our leaders do the same. Just slashed the VA to pieces AGAIN. 1/3 of people CAN be fooled ALL of the time.
"Support our Troops. Get them leaders that actually ever served, treat them right, and know what the hell they're doing."
And don't fulfill the bad guy role in biblical prophecy for the End Times. (How come nobody talks about that?)

The stickers are no more or less influential than your posting here. Do you really believe anything is actually occuring when you put out your question?
Bumper stickers wouldn't sell if they had no influence. Nor would commercials on TV.
I still see John Kerry stickers all around and it's time to take the John Kerry stickers off, kids. Believe me.
When you put a thought out into the world, it affects others.
If affected you enough, and stuck with you enough, to ask about it here.

Including 9-11 I have lost fourteen relatives to the War on Terrorism.
The bumper stickers on our cars are made by the families of the troops and money from their sale goes to support the many families who are now down to one parent thanks to this war.
I should know. I helped make some of them.
I wish everyday that there was something more I could do for my relatives still in the military. I wish I could be there, watching my brother's back, or making sure my sister makes it through another day.
But I'm here, taking care of their kids.
My cousin writes about the stress of medic life in Iraq. His wife is serving on ship somewhere in the Atlantic. Their 18 yr old son is down in S.Cali doin' the Marine boot camp thing.
My Uncle is in Germany, security for a military hospital.
Four cousins, all siblings, are working for the U.N. Peace Keepers, protecting deliveries of food and medical supplies.
When my father returned from Vietnam he said that it was knowing he had the support of his family that got him through it.
You can trace my family in wars right on back to the Scottish Clans fighting back the invading Romans. We have always been there to defend our way of life, to protect our families and neighbors, to fight for those who can't.
So, we put out our flags, yellow ribbons adorn our rails, "Support the Troops" stickers spot our bumpers.
We proudly support our warriors!
Always have, always will.

I think they believe they do, for some reason. I also think most of those people have friends or relatives in the service. and as for "the money goes towards programs for the military" I doubt it, well most of it any how. They say "A Portion" goes towards funding military programs. Let's not forget that .0001 % is considered a portion and the so called military program could very well be the recruiting program.

It makes them feel good despite the fact that most of them are against everything the troops stand for and fight for and die for.

Honestly, it doesn't hurt. Most people who think otherwise are in their own right "not to care anyway" or "are opposed to the war". It's just in how you view it, and how Patriotic you wish to be. It's not placed there to hurt or upset others. That's just an opinion though.

The profit for those magnets go to the manufacturers in China not to programs to help the military.
