You'll find that only the uneducated people are cruel to them. Or parents didn't teach their kids about how to be good citizens, which I think happens a lot now days.

I haven't really heard much people make fun of nerds actually. Geeks on the other hand get made of fun of everyday in school. Geeks in my school are very...Geeky >.> All they do is say dumb jokes at each other AND all they do is play with their goddamn gameboy all day, even in school. Also, they speak another language than the language my school is. SO yah..I have nothing against nerds, most of them are very nice too. But, geeks + preps can gtfo.

Because they know nerds dont dare attack them. They hurt nerds (physically & mentally) so much...Most nerds are ugly, and people don't like ugly people. It's also a cheap source of entertainment for the smart guys...

Because "popular" people are secretly insecure. They get the beauty, popularity, cool clothes, and cliques, but the only thing the popular people don't have is intelligence. And they know nerds and geeks have that exact thing that they are looking for.

They are mean to nerds because they know that the nerds are not used to fighting and they feel like they have to prove their strength by beating up on them and picking on them.It makes them feel big and they feel that they have something to brag about to their friends.actually though it all comes down to them being jealous.

all of the big jocks know that nerds are insecure and wont hit back and so they're taken advantage of.
i could say i was in the popular group, but believe me when i say i never ever hurt anyone. i was friendly with the whole class (except the snobs)

most of all is jealousy. n also we've seen that too many nerds that are also seem defenseless n weak so for the bulliers(<-it's that correct?) they seem like a good prey. it's always fun for the bulliers to bully someone weaker than them
