'Cause people keep calling me "Dude" and "Bro", and I am in fact neither. Do I need to change my name?

Bright Lights! Ha, i just read that, and that's funny! The name means I am a fan of British literature. Wow, is it too vague?

You've got to consider the source. It's probably a bunch of daft Americans who didn't get much past Winnie-the-Pooh in their, "study" of British Literature.

You are unique in choosing a screename that celebrates a rich literate tradition. Smile, nod, and politely dismiss those who don't know the difference between Mr. Darcy and Hamlet. Did you really want to talk to them anyway?

It sounds more female than male to me.

Largely because a woman is more likely to read than a man.

(And the fact that you have discriminating tastes makes me doubt you are male.....because, well, to most guys *TV Guide* would pass for classic literature, right?)

I guess you're female. Why? Because 70% of my AP Lit class is female, and everyone who actually LIKES the course (including me ^^) is female too. Boys just don't... get lit :p

alright, first of all, my instincts told me male. definitely. but not for any particular reason. secondly - anyone who thought you meant "bright lights fan"... well, they're not the type of people you should be worried about.

It does sound rather masculine-I would assume that you were a male-I don't know, maybe you should change it to something more feminine!
