I`m in Vietnam right now for vacation and i was wondering if you could buy a dog for a pet over in vietnam and bring it over to the U.S when i come back over there again? What are the requirements and what not? Thank you!

CONTACT THE AIRLINE AND THE CUSTOM.
YOUR DOG HAVE TO GET ALL THE RABIE SHOTS AND DOC FRM UR VET. I KNOW KE (KOREAN AIRLINE)/VN AIRLINE CHRG AROUND 250 FOR A SMALL DOG AND DEPEND BY SIZE. A SMALL ONE COULD TRAVEL W/ U IN A CAGE ON BOARD.. A BIG ONE HAS TO GO W/ CARGO. THEY FLY CERTAIN AIRCRAFT WHICH MEAN U HAVE TO LET THEM KNOW AHEAD.. B/C SOME AIRCRAFT DESIGNED FOR CARGO AND THE COLD TEMP. INSIDE BIN WILL KILL UR PET.

Well when you go through customs at the airport I believe that they will keep the dog their until they can run some tests on it and give it the shots it requires to enter the US. At least that is how they do it when you are coming from Mexico. But the only thing is it takes a few weeks.

This is between you and I... I bought a puppy in Hanoi. It was a chihuhua pup.. I snuck it on the plane inside my jacket. I had all the records to prove that it had up to date shots, etc i n case I got caught. Its way to expensive to buy it over there and bring it back to the states.. The airlines want like $350 in fees and then you have to buy a pet ticket, etc.. Sneak it on board,,

Southeast Asia exposes dogs to a harmful parasite . It would generally not be allowed to be imported regardless of quarantine. It is the people that that break these laws which spread diseases between continents and destroy many animals lives.

most animals would have to be quaranteened for up to 90 days before they could be brought to another country. water buffalo were more fun over there than dogs anyway
