Its a good question, no doubt.

I believe, you have idea about Bangladesh, particularly it's political, educational and socio-economic conditions.

I am a Bangladeshi. I think, external assistance can never be an obstacle for any country. It is actually, the users who turns the assistance in to an obstacle. Same is applicable for our country.

For developping countries like Bangladesh, external assistance is of great help. It can help the country to achieve faster growth rate of GDP and develop in all sectors of the country. Otherwise, with the internal resourses, it is not possible to meet demand of the countrymen and go for development.

I believe, it is the management of resources and assistance which needs to be made more accountable. They should have the sense of duty and responsibility, sense of honour and dignity , snese of honesty and integrity. I believe, we need some external assistance in this regard also. May be, some assistance to develop these senses will be of great help.

External assistance many a times are without strings. But the government will have to find an optimum way of utilisation and desired goal is achieved. Many a time, the implementing agency is the culprit.
