Just get rid of the wasp the trees are more precious. Don't cut them down. There are ways to attract wasps elsewhere

you might try spraying at blossom time with,insect repelent,to reduce pollination,but why not trace the wasps,back to there nest and poision them,this is easylly done with a powdere,that is sprayed into the entrance,of there nest,the wasps will take it into the nest,and die,there is allso a knew meat trap you can purchase now that you just hang in the tree,the wasps are attracteed to the bait,which kills them,this meathoud is very succesfull,and you can then still injoy your apples,happy gardening.

All you can do is cut them down. Apple trees make apples. That's their job. You can save the trees and just spray for insects if they bother you that much. It's called nature, you know?

keep your branches trimmed. take the flowers off as these are your fruit ;
look for wasp nest in the branches (destroy the nest in the fall)
use whole cloves around the base of the tree. the cloves will also keep away other pest & insects away

Spray the tree when it is in blossom so it doesn't set fruit. You can get the spray at garden supply centers
