I'm not sure there's a whole lot of free people finding sites out there.
I'd try http://www.ancestory.com
You can receive a limited amount of information about someone, but the rest you have to pay for. I'm not sure how much it cost. But, you will be able to at least know if they have her in their data base or not before paying for the full service and finding out she isn't.
