Personally, I don't see how people can judge someone based on their religion. There are many different kinds of people who are Christian, why can't there be many different kinds of people who are Muslim? There are conservative Muslims and radical Muslims, and like Christians, the conservatives far out number the radicals.

I think that if people are willing to look at those who are different from themselves with open minds and hearts, they would learn very quickly that we're all not so different. Christians, Muslims, and Jews all worship the same God, though in different ways. I fail to see how impossible it is for some people to just see something from a different perspective. If we could all do this just a little more, imagine how many wars could be avoided and how much hate could be dissolved.

Does anyone else have anything to say about this? I just want to hear what others have to say about my thoughts.

hmm. You forgot about three quarters of the earth. The religions you pointed out are only dominate in western cultures.

The problem is that each one of these believe themselves to be right, and while it might be correct for a person to be able to have another religion, how can it be right, since mine is the truth?

That is the summary of the problem. In the US we have a multitude of religions. We even have religions that recognize Gays. If this country is truely tolerant then they wouldn't be trying to favor the christians on this topic.

You have some interesting ideas in the context of tolerance but that is the whole problem. Semitic Religions are rooted in competing intolerances.

They claim separate copyrights to the one and only God, and they indoctrinate supreme chosen one ideas the are easily perverted by the popular as grounds for Supremacist rhetoric, and if that is not enough they teach their followers what to think and make little or no effort to teach them how to think! It is no wonder there is such a mass of sociopaths therein!

People get judged for many things, not only religion. The color of your skin, if you speak a different language, if you make more money, if you drive a beat up car, etc. People have done this since the beginning of time. Its nothing new. Its just our nature to judge something we don't like or something we don't understand....
