girl's eye surgery was result of 8 years of eye goig bad with glaucoma. she is bright, but a little down. I told her Sammy Davis Jr., but only one I know of. Any other info from anyone apreciated gratefully. I'm her Godfather.

Peter Falk from Columbo had a false eye. This is honestly the only one I can think of. I'm 24, so this is going back to when I was a kid, and I can't think of anyone else.
Edited to add: AHA! This one became personal after I couldn't find anything. Also having an 'ocular prosthetic' were Teddy Roosevelt and Jefferson Davis, with a few others on the site below.

There's an actress who used to have a series on TV named Sandy Duncan. She had an eye removed because of cancer. There's also Peter Falk ( I don't know if he's still alive ) and of course, Sammy Davis Jr. ( he's dead ) Good luck on your search and tell your goddaughter that she's very special and hopefully she'll have the strength to get through the adjustment.

You probably have never heard of them, but Sandy Duncan (wheat thins commercials ) and Peter Falk ( Columbo) both have glass eyes. Plus my mom had one too.

but i have a friend whi is fake eyed b/c he was bumped by a big bus while he was walking in the middle of the street by himself whan he was 6
