Wonderful producer of musical films. Though that is changing today, traditionally since the 1930s Bollywood (conflation of "Bombay" and "Hollywood") hundreds of movies are produced annually. Bollywood is the largest producer of movies in the world. The majority of the films are low budget, and include singing, dancing, love triangles, comedy and thrilling action. When I lived in Sri Lanka, many Hindi films were shown at the cinemas and on television.
