This is weird. 24/day 365/year 24*365= 8760
BUT!!! Theres also 24/day 7/week 52/year.
24*7= 168 168*52= 8763!!. But who is the accurate one? Also 7 days a week time 52 only equals 364, leaving an extra 24 hours. Therefore 8787 hours!!!. The question is... Which theory is wrong?? Plz reply

Well ACTUALLY there are 365 1/4 days in a year. So there are actually 8,766 hours in a year. But we just save those little quarter years for every four years and have ourselves a little leap year.
The reason your math doesn't work is because there's really not a full 52 weeks in a year. There are however 365 1/4 days like I said. Look at your calendar. What day of the week does the month begin on? And end? It doesn't always begin on Sunday and end on Saturday does it? It's kinda like the math problem with the missing dollar. I dont' remember how it goes but it has to do with three guys who rent a room and split the bill.

there are 52 full weeks + 1 day in a year which gives you the extra 24 hours. it is best to go by days because you know the exact number of days each year.

the only right answer is the clear one. there are 365 days in the year. 24 hours per day... 8760 hours

you cant do it by weeks because if you divide 365 by 7 you get 52.142 weeks in a year.

I think there's actually 365.25 days in a year - hence leap year every 4 years. Using that, there are 8766 hours. Don't know if that's right though.

I'm not sure of the exact number of hours there are in a year but it is not always the same. That is why we have leap years.
