my face texture is pretty smooth with small pores , with the exception or a little larger pores on either side of the nose (nothing noticeable less your all in my grill ) slightly shiny

Your best bet though, would be to go to a make up counter such as M.A.C., or a store such as Sephora and have the consultants guide you. It's also much more fun than reading instructions off the internet.
