I just bought trees and want to plant them.

Thanks to all who answered my question. Trees are potted and I live in S.C.

If they are in pots, go ahead and plant them. Keeping them in those small pots during hot weather will just stress them out. Anything in a pot can usually be planted anytime in the growing season. If they were bare root trees, or dormant, then you would have to wait until late fall or very early spring. I hope the apples are great!!!

Since you have them, you probably should get them in the ground but I've had much better results planting trees in the early fall when the weather is cooler. Less stress on the trees and they have the winter to develope the root system before they need the energy to put on leaves

well you dont say where your from so i dont know what season your in but late Autum is the best time,but you can plant then during winter and spring,i assume your talking about bare rooted trees,if you have potted ones you can plant them out just about any time,but avoid relly hot weather,late Autum is allways best
