(Disclaimer: I am not a Liberal and have neven been. I am an Independent and a proud American.)

From my militery war experience and long years observing human nature I have found that the most vocal war supporters, including the masses of young dudes who spend their money on action films and war video games never served their country, never had the courage to put their lives on the line for the country they claim they love so much?

Wars are usually started by the wealthy, the powerful and the ego driven and always fought by the poor.

I'm not against a justified war. But I am against all the BS coming out of the mouths of these pseudo-men and wannabe men who post in this forum.

Your thoughts on who the real cowards are?

(Dude, ust because you haven't served in the military doesn't mean you're not doing your part for your country. I'm just saying most of the people posting in these forums calling other cowards have probably never served. Chill out.)

I WAS DRAFTED! I'M NOT SAYING ANYONE WHO DIDN'T SERVE IS A COWARD. I'M JUST WONDERING IF ALL THE FAR RIGHT NAME CALLERS IN THESE FORUMS ACTUALLY EVER DID?

I don't think about cowards. They aren't on my list of priorities, but I agree with what you say. Thanks for voicing it.

It appears that most if not all recent wars the U.S has been involved with, had made some people very wealthy, while implying that these wars were for peace. In a free and democratic society the people would expect to have more input about involvements with wars. Cowards or pseudo solders? Depends on how well the media brainwashes the ignorant.
The track record speaks for itself. The solders that fought for their country did so even though their country wasn't threatened. And after all that there still isn't peace and all those good people in the U.S are hated because of their government's foreign policies.

You do realize John F Kenedy fought in a war. James Stewart was a pilot in WWII . Recently there was a fottball player that was killed in Iraq. He gave up his chances for pro football. And I'm sure there are countless other examples of people who were not poor that fought in wars and continue to fight today.

I like action movies and I enjoy some video games. I was never in the military, but I serve this country every day that I go to work and make sure my taxes are paid if full! My dad was in the military and was sent to Vietnam. When I was younger we were always moving. Being uprooted and not by choice. Military service is NOT the only way to serve your country.

You disclaim yourself from being a liberal, but you sure spew anger and hatred just like one. Maybe if you actually stopped to think and actually look up some facts for a change instead of making opinions based on emotions and feelings, then you might be able to put forth your efforts to doing something positive.

Agreed !! Unfortunately it appears that for the most part posting on here come mainly from two groups. The illiterate and the misinformed. Hard to tell them apart. I do have to disagree with your opinion that most wars are started by the wealthy, and the powerful. Powerful I can agree with because I have to put religious leaders in the group of powerful. In my opinion, most if not all wars are religious. Look around the world right now. Find a conflict, find a muslim. Find a conflict, find a Catholic. Seperation of church and state; never has been and never will be.

As for putting your life on the line for our country, I in most part agree with you. However, I happen to be in a group that was too young for Korea and too old for Vietnam. So if you are saying that the only ones with guts are those whom served in armed conflict, you are totally wrong. Otherwise each generation would have to run out and start a war to prove their worth. I served my country during the "cold war" and think that I payed my dues to qualify me as a pretty fair citizen. I do not necessiarly support wars. But I sure as hell do suppport and admire our troops. I may not support the man in the white house. But I sure as hell support the office of the President of The United States of America. I may not support all of your opinions but I sure as hell support your right to have them. Anyway, you are pretty much right even if you spelled military wrong.

Being a Democrat who has been in the military for 16 years with 5 deployments Desert Storm Bosnia Kosavo Hungary and Iraq Bronze Star and Combat action badge I think the people who are quick to send people to war but has never been are definitly the cowards. They are quick to spill blood but don't want to waste their own.

By the way personally l am against the war in Iraq but for the war in Afghanastan if that makes any sense.

Good point. But that can be applied to the hard-core war protesters who name-call as well. Have they been to Iraq? Do they know what's going on over there, really?
I have friends who have been there (and many there now), which is why I don't protest the war. I'm not a huge supporter because I don't like war (then again, who does? Really.), but I stand behind the men and women who serve, and I believe they are capable.
Most of the hardcore protesters and supporters don't really know what they're protesting or supporting.

I agree! They are always willing to put someone Else's life on the line.

It could be them coming home in a ice filled transport container in the back of a C 141!

My issue isn't with them as much as it is people who come on here and claim they are American, but want Bush to violate the Constitution, and actually get mad when the Supreme court says he TOO must go by the law!

This guy is the most anti-American person ever elected!!

And don't give me any BS about homeland security. That's just another word to waste your money! If they want to get in they will. I am not crying in my coffee about it, and I am not hiding under my bed or a blanket and watch as Bush takes unconstitutional liberties with my civil liberties!

You are right about who fights the wars. Its that way everywhere. I am not so sure that the non serving or never served crowd are the most vocal supporters though. Most of the worthless turds I run into hate the war and they almost as much as they hate work, responsibility accountability or anything else that sound like maturity.

well I'm a liberal....and I proudly served my country (voluntarily) for 4 years! I signed up my senior year in H.S.-a couple of weeks after the American Hostages were taken by the Iranians....At that time there were rumors of war....but us liberals stood up and bravely volunteered for the service of our country! (fortunately for us....this 'possible' war we trained for never materialized)-God Bless the True Patriots!!!!! American Men and Women of the Armed forces...past, present and future!!!!
