Good question! I would go with the Big Red Machine over today's overpriced, overpampered players any day. Also the other "big red" team that year, the Red Sox, would beat the '05 White Sox.
The 1975 World Series was the greatest Series ever, to date. I don't think there were ever two so evenly matched opponents before or since. And this from a Mets fan!
