The whole thing started because Cruz would flip the Germans off (he would kiss his outstretched middle finger) after every single Argentinian penalty kick that went in. Borroski (GER) did the same after his penalty kick and it pissed the players off even more when they lost. The unused substitute Leandro Cufre (ARG) got his tall blond German players mixed-up and ended up kicking Per Mertesacker (GER) in the crotch after his team lost, thereby starting the brawl on the field. Oliver Beerhoff was trying to shield his players after Mertesacker went down and ended up getting some of the Argentinian frustration focused on him.

Here is the story from the BBC: "The trouble seemed to start when midfielder Tim Borowski gestured towards the Argentina players to "keep quiet" having scored his penalty to make it 4-2 in Germany's favour.
Several of the South American players walked towards him and when the final Argentina spot-kick was saved, the Argentina defender Fabricio Coloccini approached Germany's Oliver Neuville.
Punches were thrown in a brief melee before it was broken up."
See link to full article below. There is also some accusation of a German player being "trod upon" by several Argentinian players.

That is an easy one.
Argentinians blame everybody else for their problems.
They are so proud they cannot accept the reality.
They started the fight against Oliver Bierhoff, ex-player for the German National Team and an assistant now, on their way out.
I'm from latinamerica, but I was rooting for Mexico in the Round of 16, and I was rooting for Germany now.
I just wanted to see Argentina out of the World Cup. They had cheated before and they will cheat again. They are already saying that Bierhoff was making fun of them, so what?
Does one bad behavior justify another one? Of course not.
Note: As you can see, the user "Argentina" is blaming the referee for their defeat. That proves my point.
