Get the zen or the nano the shuffle isn't worth it. I would recommend the zen because i think creative is better than apple.

These three products are aimed at different consumer groups.

Ipod Nano is a lightweight music player designed for use while jogging or such activities. It is for listening to music. Half of its system, which doubles its convenience, is on the computer. You create playlist on the computer which are automatically transfered to the iPod when it is connected. The Nano has a small but clear screen for selecting playlists. It weighs 2.5 ounces, and costs $150 $200 or $250 for 1, 2, or 4 Gigs of memory.

The Shuffle weighs just .78 ounce. It can be carried in an arm band. It costs $70 or $100 for 512 MB or 1 Gig. It has no screen. It can either play the playlist in order or randomly.

The Zen Vision is a much larger player. It weighs 8.4 ounces. The 30 Gig model costs $400. It is more of a video player. Its screen is 3.7 inches diagonally, in 640x480 resolution.

The iPods will work on either Macintosh or Windows computers. The ZENs only work with Microsoft® Windows® XP (Service Pack 1 or higher).

This is a case of comparing Apples and Zennages!
;-D Enjoy your modern life! Don't pollute!

The iPod nano looks very slick but it's also riddled with problems. I personally know 3 people who have taken their nanos back due to a variety of defects. If you search the web, you'll find more reading material on this subject. I don't think the iPod shuffle is good value for money so I guess you're only left with one choice - If for whatever reason a standard iPod is out of the question, go for the Zen.

My wife has a Creative Zen Microphoto and I have a Creative Zen Vision: M. We are both very happy with our players.

Creative also has a new player called the Zen V and the Zen V Plus.

If you plan on working out with your player, go with the Zen V or V plus because they use flash memory rather than a hard drive.

If you want small and lightweight, go Zen Micro or Zen Microphoto or Zen V or Zen V Plus.

If you like lots and lots of music and want over 1000 songs on your player, go with the Zen Microphoto or Zen Vision: M.

If you thing you want to watch video, go with the Zen V Plus or the Zen Vision: M.

And, if you really like lots and lots of music, consider using a subscription music service rather than buying songs or CDs. For as little as $10 a month with a pre-paid year subscription, you can fill your player with all the music that will fit. There's Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go, Rhapsody To Go, or Napster To Go. The 8GB Microphoto will hold about 1400 subscription songs and the Zen Vision: M will hold about 5000 subscription songs. Put another way, that is less than a penny a song a month. You can't rent music on an iPod. Only buy it or illegally download it (which I don't recommend).

The Zen Vison is the best, All ipods are overpriced, but the Shuffle is a piece of garbage. Go with the Zen Vision.
