what i mean is, are you deep in thought? pensive-like? do you reflect on things most of the time?

I am terribly deep in thought all of the time. My brain doesn't stop. It's scary!

I only get deep in thought when I need to, otherwise I tend to get too melancholy. When somebody asks me a question or there is a situation in my life that I need to resolve, I always try to weigh all the sides of the issue before I answer or act on it. Answering these questions always gets me deep into thought. The rest of the time I just try to have fun living. I don't want to spend so much time thinking about life that I forget to live it!

How do you gauge that? When I conduct research and observe I'm thinking and since I work 8 hours a day you could say I'm using my brain for thinking 1/3 of the time.

Yes, my mind is always thinking about something - ways to improve my life, what my grandchildren might be like after they grow up (am watching what they like to do or what catches their eye for now), why things are the way they are, etc. It does have one disadvantage... I don't fall asleep easily.

I'm too thoughtful, it's why I'm so anxious I over think everything and am always analysing every little situation.
