jdm b20b with b16 head(type r intake cam) ran 14.3 with stock header and bald tires. i have a catback exhaust but not mandrell bent. will aftermarket header make that much difference? if any, how much?

Actually, a header on your engine won't do a whole lot, perhaps 5-15 hp, and you can easily lose bottom end while gaining some power up top. A header is a great supporting mod when you have other things going on, and already have injectors, serious ignition system, cams, etc. It's not a "first" mod, by any means, and is pretty much useless until you complete the whole package.
I've seen people lose power after a header install simply because their cams and compression didn't work well with increased flow.
Bigger is NOT always better. On my 312 whp WRX, a header was the last thing I did.

Where are you getting the headers from? Have to think that different companies, sell different headers and they do. Try to order from some where that clearly has proven they sell headers that gain power; AEM>Ebay, etc.
As for the power, I've seen alot of differences. Usually, you'll get around 10-15hp on an untuned car with other modifications. Then again, I've seen gains up to 30hp with the aid of dyno tuning on a friends 350Z. It depends on the engine, other mods, tuning, quality, etc.. alot can factor how much power you'll get.

1st question...yes!!!! you will get a LARGE difference. how much....i don't know enough to tell you.. but DEFINITELY you will get more. that's the first thing you should have changed.

very little it will probably only give you maybe 10 hp's
