I got the dvd today at wal-mart. my friends are saying it's not a MOVIE it's a PLAY. is this true? If it helps any,i paid $14.00 for it.

its a play Tyler has only come out with two movies they are madead family reunion and a diary of a mad black woman

Those who discovered Tyler Perry through leftfield box office hit Diary of a Mad Black Woman may be surprised by Madea's Class Reunion. Sure, there are similarities, but this Perry production is a filmed musical rather than a feature film.

Tyler Perry used his charecter Madea in plays before the hit movies. There was a play named "Madea's Class Reunion" (NOT to be confused with "Madea's Family Reunion).
