Try the Shiloh series, Marley and Me (more adult), Good Dog by Ann Martin, The Junkyard Dog, anything by Jim Kjelgaard, BIll Wallace, the laughable, pure Texas Hank the Cowdog series, Dog Stories by James Herriot, etc. Contact me for more.

Don't know how old you are, but Jim Kjelgaard's booksare marvelous. (Usually recommended for readres in the 9 - 12 range, but if you love dog stories, you'll enjoy them even if you're a little older) Big Red comes first, then there is Irish Red, Stormy, and several others, I think.
How about The Incredible Journey?

You must read the book "Love that Dog" by Sharon Creech. It's really a 50 page poem about a boy and his dog, but you will not be able to put it down. It took me about 45 minutes to read the whole book, but I cried like a baby, it touched me so deeply. Also if you like dogs and horror, read Dean Koontz's "Watchers".

"Where the Red Fern Grows," by Wilson Rawls is probably one of the best dog stories ever written. It was noticably absent in your list, but its required reading in a lot of schools.

Check out James Herriot books. They tell of his life as a vet. You should find plenty of dog stories.
