polo shirts by the maker IZOD (used to be called LaCoste, but I think it is all IZOD now).

They are golf shirts. The little green alligator is a trademark and turns up on a lot of golf stuff. But the shirts are really great. They move well, they wear well, and they seem to hold their shape much better than most shirts.

depends. If the alligator face the right, its Lacoste. If to the left, Crocodile. Or was it the other way around? Anyway, bot has an alligator-looking animal and they keep havin legal fights about it.

ok so the first two people are wrong, well actually a lot of people. it used to be izod but now izod has its own symbol which is NOT an aligator and now the aligator is a symbol of Lacoste and they are not originally made for golf, but for tennis. lacoste is now not only worn for tennis, but is fashionable for both men and women. everyone at my school wear lacoste. it is adorable and preppy. i love them with mini jean shirts and a cute layered tanktop underneath the polo. lacoste makes really cute accersories and shoes too. It is REALLY popular in france where it originated. literally EVERYONE wears it in paris who lives there.

lacoste- better if you get it from europe cause the one from usa turns into izod label. and the one from france have their logo on the sleeve as well. even they cost quite of a sum, its a quality brand sportswear. this company never use cheap material, they do last long.
