I saw my very first concert when I was 13... it was KISS, and I was on the floor about 6 rows back, just off to the left (Stage Right). I saw this monster spitting blood, breathing fire, flying to the rafters, and stalking the stage. I decided that night I wanted to do that for the rest of my life. I didn't want to be rich; I didn't want to get all of the girls; I wanted to be a rock star.
Fast forward *mumble* years, and I have had a few deals, and been in numerous bands, and was lucky enough- for a while- to have made my living being a performer. I never made it to the charts, really, and none of you will probably ever remember my name, and that is perfectly fine with me, because the joy is in the show, and not in the recognition.
Now,I am a writer, and I am in a part time band, doing cover tunes and a few originals, and we do it for beer money... and have no desire to do it full time.
