Ironically, I think the creator of the Barbie doll, is doing what God did, but made a WOMAN first, then a man (Ken). But actually, when she was first created, she was created in the image of what the perfect woman was to look like in the 40's.

As an avid collector, I realize that Barbie is in no way perfect. It is quite clear to me that upon close examination, that its flaws are evident. All dolls are inferior to the living beings. It is a product of fantasy and not reality. No toy is perfect.

If Barbie had a few zits, or was short, or fat, or had frizzy hair, or crooked teeth, or a big nose, or was flat, etc...
then some people wouldn't buy her. They just want a doll of an idealized woman.

because she is the spitting image of what a human being shouldnt be...wants to make children have probs. when they grow older because they think that they should look like "barbie"

she is perfect because she is exactly what she is designed to be.
she has nothing to do with real women, of course. But she is indeed a perfect mutant swan-necked, chinese footbound, hourglass waisted, gravity defying boob-bearing bit of plastic... hawked for kids, but appealing to everyone's subliminal sense that women are and should be, just objects to play with. .
