Nano means small, true, but! Did you know that Nano is a fictional character in the Star Trek universe? He was the communications officer on the Enterprise under Christopher Pike!
Maybe the guy that named it nano was a Trekkie! Could be!

Beause the Ipod nano, is nano sized its super Thin, it looks very fragile, kinda like something you wouldnt want to put in your pocket beause it might snap in half.
