I'm a philosophy and cello performance double major, I can think for myself. I would discourage name calling.

Most definitely ! Reminds me of an old FDR quote during WW2.
It is a shame some Americans don't understand or support that quote. However, I think most Americans would agree.

i'm no longer a George Bush fan, and not in any respect became. yet you comprehend usa of america is stuck with him, so this is the old idea to make lemonade out of the lemons you're dealt. 9/11 became likely the worst and the desirable second of his presidency. Worst day for safe practices, yet he rallied the country (tho you would possibly want to no longer tell that now by each of the backstabbing and back biting that is going on right here). i'm also a believer that he's not to blame for each little thing incorrect contained in the country, the President isn't only a guy yet an organization, and he has distinct human beings telling him what to do. yet he's the face of the country and someone must be blamed.

These words make me sad, because at one time they might have been true, but because of fear we have thrown our freedoms away for the chains of "security".
Once every american was free to say "I hate the president" without fear of being arrested for treason.
Once americans were free to call anyone in the world without fear that their private conversations would be eavesdropped on without even the barest hint of checks and balances.
Once, the word privacy meant something to people.
Once honor and dignity were respected by the american people.
Once we were a bright and shining beacon of freedom, unfortunately that light has dimmed because some want to hide it under a blanket of fear, or trade it for the shackles of false security.

I truly believed that America ws the beacon of freedom and opportunity, but liberals have turned it into the beacon of victim pimping and government handouts. Liberals are the scum of the earth and should be done away with. ALL OF THEM, starting with Hillary.

It is as highly likely that someone from the far right would burn a flag as someone from the far left. Think of all the anti-government nutcases living up in the mountains of Idaho or in the backwoods of Minnesota (you know, Pat Robinson's people).
The truth is there are as many 'so-called' Liberals serving our country now as there are so-called conservatives. The military people who voted in the last two elections were about evenly split.

why would they attack us because we are free? They don't care that we are free, they just want us out of their land... but that's not their call...
MEANWHILE... Bush is taking away freedoms while saying these very words... it's interesting he says "no one will keep it from shining" when he himself has curtailed more freedoms than any president in the last 25 years... even if you like him, you can't disagree with the facts...

Yes I love this country and I am proud to be Free and American. Just remember that terrorists did not attack us because they did not like our freedom. Those terrorists don't even care about their own freedom. They attacked us because our government (republicans and democrats) failed to protect us. So Bush's speech is Bull S**t. Wake up America Please!

It wasn't a LIBERAL president who limited our first amendment right to free speech, and our fourth amendment right to privacy. Also, it wasn't liberals who decided that a very Vietnam-esque war in Iraq was a good idea, nor was it liberals who are still delaying help for the victims of Katrina.
Quite frankly, it's the conservatives that seem to be the least righteous in their global endeavors.

Doesn't believe for a second we were attack for our freedom. Thinks it was more about our medelsome policies in the arab and muslim world and for support of Israel. But leave it to Bush to go for the most simplistic answer...probably the only one he could understand....

Hey, I have a better, more insightful quote for you:
"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"
Are you seriously looking for inspiration from a man who, at times sounds mentally retarded, has ruined our economy, started an unneccessary war fueled by greed, and who clearly wants christianity to take over a democracy?

Sure do even if Kerry or even a Kennedy said it. Naturally, because Bush said it, libs will find something wrong with it.
