to look pretty, must you always apply makeup on?

i don't like to use makeup. i never did. it was too much of a hassle for me until to this very day. most 18-year-olds would wear tons of makeup but i'm not one of them. i was so thankful when my ex prefered women without makeup. he loved my natural beauty.

what about you? do you need to apply makeup to make yourself look prettier? or are you just like me? a girl without a colourful face?

i know i don't wear make up all that much unless im going to a big event. but a guy that likes you without make up is a good guy. natural beauty is much better because what happens when the make up comes off. people will never know the real you when you were tons of make up. so go without let people get to know the real you.

true beauty is not about make up, fashion, etc.
All of those things are to be used as enhancements to a look, but they have as much to do with making one beautiful as a pebble does.

Would a gift be any less nice if it weren't wrapped w/ a bow on top? No. The main thing is what's in the packaging.

It's all a matter of opinion- some think vanilla ice cream's best. Others chocolate.

What's best is what's best for you. If you feel you need or have to have artificial enhancers or things to make you beautiful- maybe you do.

The true beauty of a lady is in how she carries herself and how she treats others. Just look at the celebs- Naomi Cambell, for example, is a supposed glamorous model, but she has been in the headlines more than once for less than model behavior.

If you are comfortable with yourself, everyone else will be -in spite of what you do/don't wear.

Those that only care about what you do/don't wear aren't worthy your company.

I read this in a book of famous quotes: " Being successful is like being a lady; if you have to tell everyone you are: you aren't"

Looking good and pretty cannot be seen only from the outside.I agree with you,having a natural beauty without putting any make up to your face is much more prettier.But that's the reason why make up was invented,to make the ladies more glamorous and have more life in every lady's face.It will be exagerrated if your going to put loads of make up to your face...but just having a natural colour lipstick,a little of blush on,a little of face powder,etc..will make your pretty face look more lovely.

I think my face is plenty colorful all by itself. I do find myself wearing a neutral toned eyeshadow in winter and maybe some mascara, but I'm like you, I hate the hassle. I think a big mask of makeup looks terrible on me. I'm happy to be naturally beautiful!!

I never wear make up. Most people over do it. I say, people should think "wow she is naturally pretty" not "wow she has nice make up". If you wear it, be subtle! Most girls do wear it, but I find it is a waste of time. Have you seen those girls who won't go "out without their face on"? It's sad. So much is expected of women to be "beautiful". I am sure you are pretty just how you are! :)

no you do not have to wear makeup to look pretty.. i think a lot of girls looks so much better without it.. and i have 7 boys and they like their women that do not wear makeup except on very special nights out...so go without the makeup and let your natural beauty shine through....some may use a little eye makeup to enhance your eyes but as far as face makeup , go without it...

actually the opposite is true...if you take good care of your skin you will be able to use only powder for your skin, and a little lip gloss with a whisper of eye make-up. check out Cetaphill soap and lotion for the face at walgreen's or walmart's, cost round six or seven bucks each, dermatologist recommended and try to wash your face a.m. and p.m., drink plenty of water, eight glasses per day, no sugar or soda pop, eat fruit and veges, lay off the beef, go for chicken or tuna......it's hard work to be beautiful but us girls are worth it....anybody can pile on the make-up, but when you can wear just a little and look like a million, why not....good luck

No. You can look prettier without make-up. Besides a a lot of people look pretty without make-up's. I am like you. I hate make-up a lot. When I where make-up or not some of the people say I look pretty. Anyway I don't use make up to look pretty.

Well im a guy so i sure dont want make up.But i think it can be quite slutish looking if it is applied too heavy.I preffer the natural look but i can also understand that it can be used to cover up such tings as rashes ,pimples etc--I am sure it can be the cause of half these problems also.

I don't leave the house without my war paint! I would call it a "self-concious looking face" without my makeup. Makeup protects your skin from the effects of pollution, & exposure to the elements. It's trendy, & fun! Like a new hairdo! We need to constantly keep reinventing ourselves! Who wants the same thing everyone else has anyway!? I like to play up my features, some don't. It is what you get used to! You certainly don't want to pack it on. [you can get instructions on how to apply it professionally at most department store cosmetic counters, so you know what colors to use, & how to blend it, & what colors to wear with what event or outfit, yes, I take my makeup seriously! ] You also don't want to look like a clown, or overdo it; I love makeup, & I probably always will ! If you look at pictures of yourself with or without makeup, your eyes, lips, & cheeks are defined with makeup vs. without. Who cares what your boyfriend likes, it's what you like. You are unique, and if you choose to go bare faced, it's up to you, especially if you are into sports & are usually sweaty.
