That's how all creativity works by evolving on what already has happened. TV viewers like to see the same show rehashed a million times and reject more original programming.

King of queen has the father living with them and ramon has the mother over all the time. Darma and greg have parents over and that show grace under fire has the wierd neighbors ,Reba has the ex and his new wife...Thank god I was not her...lol
