just crochet a narrower and longer blanket and there is your scarf. I just don't know how to stop I made the worlds longest scarf

Just make it smaller than a blanket? I always start of like a blanket but then end it when it gets to the width I want. But I agree with one of the other answers. Go to the store and look at the lables on the yarn for a pattern for scarves and get an idea of how u want to do it.

If you can do a blanket, a scarf would be easy! Just make it very narrow.

Your best bet is to go to Wally World or something and get an instruction pamphlet, or have someone local show you how to do it. You can look up directions on google as well. I don't know how helpful we can be on Yahoo! Answers, since that's an awful lot of explaining ... :)
