Effing A, I LOVE that movie. It's fantastic! Wonderfully acted and very witty.

For some reason, I have always had an easy time understanding the slang and accents of British films. I clearly understood Pitt's accent in "Snatch" and I understand all the slang. The ironic thing is, I'm neither British, nor have I ever visted Britain. Weird...

But yeah, "Trainspotting" was an excellent film. I love British films, in general. They tend to be better written than American films, and funnier. Like:
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
Shaun of the Dead
Love Actually
Bend it Like Beckham
Kind Hearts and Coronets
All Monty Python films
etc. etc.

I saw it on DVD, and i had to watch it close captioned because sometimes i couldn't understand the dialogue. I think they spoke with a scottish accent. Ewan Macgregor was excellent in this movie.

I own that movie, so I have watched it plenty of times. There was the occasional random word I didn't understand at first, but for the most part I had no problem with it.

I didn't see Trainspotting, but I understand English (like 75% of it) slang, yes.

I didn't understand the first half of the movie because of the thick accents. It also made me want to barf-especially the part in the filthiest toilet in the country when the guy dives in.

Horrible bad movie i've got to say. I didn't understand 99% of it. 1% i did understand with the use of caption. That is the worst movie ever, its extremely dumb. Its a whole lot worser than the movie Mulluland drive, if you've seen it.
