Auburn really deserved to play for the title. They went undefeated in the nation's toughest conference(beating LSU, UGA, BAMA) and then they went down to NO and spanked the hokie birds. People say they didn't play a tough enough non-conference schedule, but it's not their fault. They tried to schedule boston college, but BC wouldnt play em. Musta been too scared. But yeah, not only should they have deserved to play title game, but they deserved at least a share of the title after destroying VT in the Sugar Bowl. And to the guy that said something about Utah...the Utes play in the mountain west conference, which houses teams like BYU, TCU, and Colorado state, so don't even talk to me about the mountain west.

Oh yeah, I live in Alabama, so WEAGLE, WEAGLE, WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't say that they were "cheated". The BCS rules are agreed on and ratified by each member institution before the season begins. To cheat is to break the rules. By abiding by the rules, they were excluded. So, no, they weren't cheated...but that's just semantics.

The problem is this: USC was undefeated. Oklahoma collapsed against Colorado in the Big 12 Championship, but was undefeated until then. Auburn ran the table. But, despite the 12-0 record going into the Bowl Selection, Auburn still ranked lower than OU in the BCS rankings.

So, riddle me this: How can a team go undefeated in the SEC (the toughest conference in the nation) and not get into the championship game? Also, how can one team with a loss get in while an undefeated team is relegated to the Sugar Bowl? These questions led to the adjustments in how the BCS rankings came about, and eventually led to the creation of the Harris Poll....all of that seems ancient history now. The BCS has changed the rules BECAUSE of the exclusion. They have, essentially, admitted that they were wrong and have moved on....shouldn't we forgive them and move on too?

Besides, there's nothing to worry about...the Tigers have a real shot at running the table again this season. And this time, they will win the National Championship.

They got cheated, cause the whole world was caught up in the hype around Oklahoma and USC... I understand its hard to let go... the Tigers would have beaten USC... and they know it too...

Get over it - that is old news - it happened more than two years ago. They might do it again.
