Before I start, let me apologize, this question is a trifle wordy and perhaps not as clear as it could be.
Since I have been using Yahoo Answers I have recieved no less than 15 emails[daily] from singles sites, "cute 19 shy females-wanna hook up- pictures!" e.g. you know the type. Do you believe that my visits to Yahoo Answers has something to do with it, as Y.A. is a community service, and is linked with my email account?
If not that, could another user on my computer,[different settings,user name ] by visiting such sites themselves, be responible for this bombardment of singles/porn email?

Really I think it has more to do with marketing.Summer is the time people your age,with no school and all get lonely.So these sites come after you.

I haven't been getting these spam messages and I use Yahoo! Answers all the time so I doubt that's what would be causing it. Your email isn't even given out anywhere on the site (unless you posted it).
It is possible that other users visiting sites could be reponsible, but that would usually only affect an email program like Outlook and they won't have easy access to web-based email like Yahoo!
Have you clicked on anything in a spam message recently? Even if it says to unsubscribe, that may confirm your email address to them. Or sometimes the spam is just random. It's hard to keep track when there's so many people sending it.

No, I do think there is a connection. I've been getting spam as well, though only about one a day to my Yahoo account and then a few others into my hotmail junk mail (where I transfer most of my e-mail from this site).
