You'd think people would be smart enough to know that others in the world are human to. But people are just are the way they are. But I still don't get it. Did God just make them to be ignorant? OR are they are the way they are? Plus how do you feel about them? Are you homophobic? Do you believe there are people out there that can help stop people from believing in the nasty shelfish, cruel way they do?

"Ignorance" is a harsh word, but often used to discribe the thoughts of others that we do not agree with. It plays a part in most things that people don't understand, believe in or want to be a part of.
Rather it's a gay life style or why some states fly a "racist flag", or why Muslims are allowed in a country that is Christain based, or why abortion should be a choice not a right.

Now while all those subjects will stike a cord with us all, thankfully we live in a country that allows us think and feel however we want. And there are certain laws in place that address each of the above issues.

"Opinon" being the better word here. I would say that you have come across someone's personal "opinion" rather than their ignorance.

No doubt several of us could get on our own personal soap box here and defend our right to live our lives as we see fit. What we all do as a society effects us as a whole. So no ONE thought or idea will ever fit a Nation of people that are given the freedom to choice some facets of how we live. What I believe in may not suit the common good of society. Thus we have laws to protect you and I from what someone else may think or fell.

Fortunately you do live in a country that is multi-national, interacial marriage, countless faiths, same sex marriage, opportunity and a government that trys to accomodate every question in the above as the public out cry asks.

So I would say that those "ignorant" ones you speak of have every bit as much right to refuse a certain path as YOU have to chose it.

So build your life around what YOU believe, and don't concern yourself on rather someone else will accept it.

Acceptance is human nature....................

but nature is selective in what it will accept.

That's a damn good quote there, if I must say so myself!

When there is a dualistic view of the world there is a lack of empathy, when there is a lack of empathy there is cruelty,....cruel people are immature and scared...their life is based on fear. The thing I do to deal with this is to empathize and show them compassion...it is hard but the meanest people need the most love.

Ignorance is the lack of exposure to a situation, stupidity is when one has been exposed to the situation and refuse to learn from the exposure. I am not homophobic, I don't care what anyone does as long its consenting adults. It's none of my business as long as it's not my lap being sat in. Don't worry about people, we need to be concerned with our own lives then we'll be too busy to judge others. I'm heterosexual and happy with my life, and I wish you happiness in yours.

I'm not homophobic, I'm gay. People... I just cannot understand it. They're concerned only with themselves, but you cannot change them. I guess they're meant to be obstacles in life, and we need to face them and beat them. They teach us, and make us better.

because ignorance is man's number one fault that he/she is born with. some people want to correct that, others don't. the ones who don't, cause all the sh*t like holocausts and irresponsible genocides. it's just the way it is.

because we created it. god said he created us equal. when we are born we are. we created it in our selfs to believe that we are better then some one else that we can't treat them the same for we are better. we created it in our selfs and we are the only ones who can end it
