Well ya know... I"m a Jeff Gordon fan and can't even begin to answer this one for you, b/c I have never understood it myself. Jeff has the numbers that proves he is a good driver, and if people want to deny that simply b/c he can outrun their driver than go for it. It's easier to just admit you were outdriven and out preformed than take the energy to come up with every excuse, oh wait, it doesn' take energy b/c all they can ever come up with our the same things. He whines, he's gay, and he cheats. Every driver whines. I love how everyone thinks he blames everyone else. I have heard him admit fault several times, and he's apologize for some things. But think about it, none of those drivers are going to give in when they are rubbing paint..It will always be the other driver who should have given way. Like they will all tell you..no matter who they are when they get in the car the attitudes in those 43 cars are the worst. There is a lot on the line. Second, he takes full on responsibility for that team. Even when Letarte makes a bad call he says it was my job to talk to him better. Being gay has nothing to do with performance on the track. He cheats...riiiight. That's why Nascar still let's him on the entry list every week. JR has his faults just like every other driver. They all do. None of them are near perfect, but if you insist on placing a driver on a pedastal I hope you have a crapload of pillows for when they fall off. They are not GODs they are driver's. Plain and simple. Regular old humans who can get behind a car and put it around a track at 200mph.
I mean, yes, we all have drivers that we dislike and we have driver's that we hate to see win, or even drive'rs that we really hate to see beat out driver, but when it come down to it.. you really need to be mature enough to admit a good driver when you see it. If people can actually look at Jeff's numbers and tell me he's not a good driver than I'm going to strongly suggest finding some numbers of optometrists.

Sorry Blue I disliked Jeff Gordon long before Dale JR came along but I will give Gordon credit he has an awesome record and tons of talent I just am not a Gordon fan.But I wouldn't say I hate him I save that for Jimmie Johnson lol.

I don't think people dislike Jeff Gordon because he is an amazing race car driver, and I don't care who doesn’t like that statement because you can not deny that he is very talented. If people dislike Jeff because he has won races or because he has good statistics, then they are just plain ignorant and apparently not a fan of good hard racing. I think people do not like Jeff because he states his mind, and isn't scared to tell people his point of view, which most people classify as whining. So if they say Jeff is whining, what about all the Tony Stewart fans after the Bud Shootout, was he "whining" about something he believed in? Or how about you Dale Jr. fans, was Dale "whining" about bump drafting when he backed up Tony's statement? No matter what driver you have he will "whine" about something, then the Haters and Lovers will decide if it's useless whining or important thought needed to be shared. It doesn’t matter who they are, from Jeff Gordon to Carl Edwards, if they spin out your favorite driver then you dislike them, or if the speak; act; or look the wrong way, people will dislike them. I personally am a Carl Edwards Fan, and many people dislike him because of his aggressive driving and "Golly Gee" looks... I don't know exactly why people dislike Jeff because I don't know much about him other than he's a good driver as are many in NASCAR. I do Know If people choose to hate him because of his Racing Stats, His Religion, His Looks, His Girlfriend, His Sponsor, His Past, and so on that’s just plain stupid. He is an individual just like you and me, and there I no reason to hate him.

Even if Jeff Gordon has better stats than Dale Jr., people would hate him, and they do, it's because he's such a cry baby about everything. If he spins someone out, it's "just a racing incident." If he gets spun out, it was done by the other driver on purpose. He can dish it out, but he can't take it. They don't hate Gordon for being better, but for his incessant complaining.

Jeff is a cry baby & is only happy if he wins. I don't like whiney people & that's what Jeff is! I'm tried of this question! U are like the 5th person 2 ask this! I dislike all of the hendrick guys, (except 4 Brian) for the same reasons! Jr. has been in like half the time that Jeff has! Give Jr. a chance & I'm sure he'll win more races & get championships. Why don't u try getting in that car & do what Jr. does???? Oh yeah, u wouldn't even make it one lap! I hate ignorant people!

I DONT HATE JEFF GORDON FOR BEING BETTER THAN JR. I'll admit, his career stats are better, but that has nothing to do with why i hate him. I hate him because he complains about everything. And he blames his mistakes on other people, he never admits that it was his fault.

The answer is simple:
Jeff has won more than Jr, and now has taken away Jr's once dominated track from him, so that leaves Jr with nothing. Besides, when Jeff won the first race there, they showed their ignorance by throwing beer cans at him. Just goes to show that when you win 74 times and get 4 championships, and win at just about every track on the circuit, everyone is going to hate you. Besides, they are probably mad cuz JR has finally ran out of the daddy's legend fuel, and now is on his own to make something of himself, and quite frankly hasn't done diddley.
Besides, who else won 3 championships as quickly as Jeff did??
1995, 1996, and 1998 then another one in 2001
Talk to me when JR has done one of two things:
Won 4 championships
or
Won more than 70 races
Till then shut your pie hole!
And I hate to tell the ignorant Jr fan about getting in the car and doing what he does, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!! Got the Tshirt!! Strap into a top fuel dragster, and then call yourself somebody, race a sprint car and then call yourself somebody. Besides beer is for queers, liquor is quicker.

i luv jeff gordon nad hate jr and i know jeff is better and people hate him for that b/c he came in wit ease see jeff aint my fav but i dont hate him i like jimmie johnson better and i like all of hendrick so jeff is right in there i just cant handle ne more junebug is so great o he is just so polite and sweet he doesnt do nething wrong he is the most amazing driver and now im barfing lol sorry i dislike him wit a passion

no everyone hates Gordon, because he is a little punk that needs an attitude adjustment. he blames everyone else for his faults on the track, and JR. is more of a man than Gordon. I am not going to take away his abitity, he can race. he is one of the best racers in NASCAR but he is a little punk. along with stewart.
