Birth control pills can help you with cramps, and zits, but a gynecologist can prescribe the best brand.
Tell your mom about your cramps and tell her you believe (and I believe) she can can help you with that and take you to the doctor. She will understand you and take you to the gyn.
If the gyn does not prescribe birth control pills, may do something even better: to find the cause of your cramps (called dysmenorrhea) with a sonography and some more tests. Won't be too scary, believe me.

I feel for you, I really do. Its awful and painstaking. When I had it, over the counter pain meds did little to nothing.
I would recommend that you try either oil packs for your stomach, hot baths, and take 100 mg of magnesium citrate or amino acid chelate EVERY 2 HOURS. Us women lose this nutrient through our period and it gets drained from our muscles. Contact a qualified natropath in your area for more. But start here. Magnesium is safe, your body doesn't naturally make it, its not 'too' prevalent in foods especially the amounts you need. If you can, start taking it 2 days prior to your first day.
I wish you relief,
Cheryl

ortho tri cyclen is probably best for all your problems (cramps, breakouts, etc) or loestrin 24 gives you shorter periods so that might work for your cramps. You can go to a free clinic (google one by your area) but it is best to go to a gyno and ask her which pill she/he thinks is best for your problem. But if you don't want to tell your mom you can go to a free clinic. I recommend telling her though, explain it to her just as you explained it to us.
I wouldn't get the ones that gives you like 4 a year because in the long run I really don't think that's safe, and it will probably give you more problems than you have.

Ortho tri-cyclen helped me alot.. I took that for two years, and i had less cramps if any at all, lighter periods and I didnt feel irritable. I got off that becaue of the weight gain, and went on the patch, and it mad emy period 10 times worse plus gave me the worst headaches of my life. So I went on Estrostep, and my period was so irregular.. I had it twice in a month..iot was horrible. Try ortho-tricyclen
