If you have your site hosted on something like:
www.coyay.webspawner.com
Then you can get an account at Dot TK. This site allows you to get a domain name like this: cpulover.tk And it's free, and doesn't have any ads after you change the marketing options in your control panel! But you must keep the www.coyay.webspawner.com address online so that the .TK address can display it!

"free" domains have sub roots attached to them, if you want to create a free site and have a domain forwarding you can do that for $4.95 a month. Some places do it as cheap as .99 cents a month, but then those are unmanned sites without help. Type in your search box, free domain names and you should get a list of 100 or better places that can help you with that. =o) Good Luck!

Why not try out geocities? They offer free domains and whenever you run out of space you can always purchase additional room for $5.00 per month. I should know, I actually started my first website this way and continue to own a geocities website.

try officelive.com, is powered by microsoft and although they require a credit card, they do not charge to get your own domain name, I have one with them, they do not charge a penny, is kindda weird that microseft would give you anything for free...
