I bought it when I was at work through using the iTunes on my computer at work (didn't put it on my iPod yet). Now I'm at home, and I want to put it on my computer at home because I want to have it at home, as well as put it on my iPod now at home, versus at work. Is there any way to RE-download the album without buying it again?

No. You may not download again for free. Otherwise somebody could go to all their friend's houses and download all their music into their friend's computers.
You have to physically move the files from your office to your home using media, including the iPod as a hard drive, or burn a dvd. You can not just use the music on the iPod to put into the computer. When you connect the iPod to the PC, the transfer to the player is from the PC to the player only. You have to enable the iPod as a hard drive, and use the computer to move files into a folder on the iPod that you can move over to your home PC and then import into your PC using iTunes. iTunes will verify your ownership of the files before allowing you to import them, if they are purchased songs. Your ID is encoded into the song files as they are downloaded into your PC. This encoding limits their use to 5 computers that you authorize. You have to de-authorize one of the 5 before you can add another. If you re-install the system on your computer, first remember to de-authorize it first, or you will lose one count when the new system starts up.
You will have to import into iTunes using the 'work' iTunes user and password information. The user ID has to be the same user ID as the iTunes Music Store downloaded to. It is like what you have to do to restore your library from a back up.
Sharing among computers at home is a different process. Take a look here: http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/itunes/it6-1.html

;-D You do back up your important files, especially your purchases, right? heh heh heh.
