They have to fit the head pipe, and have some way of mounting them solidly to the frame. If they are too restrictive, you will lose power. If they are more open than the original, you will probably have to change the carburettor jets or remap the fuel injection. Most aftermarket pipe makers will tell what a given product is intended to fit.

If you dont mind cutting and welding you can fit any pipes to any bike. It may not work but it can be made to fit.
