Why? Is it because they are (or used to be) overweight and are powerful black women? It bothers me so much.

I don't think that. I don't have a problem with Oprah, but Starr is too into herself. All she did was promote her wedding and talk how great she was. Everytime someone had something to say on the view she only wanted to hear it if it had to do with her.
Some people don't like Oprah because she is so successful but she has done a lot of good. And she proves if you work hard you can achieve success

Star Jones is way to into Star Jones,thinks shes royalty or something.Oprah buys her friends with gifts and book pimping.Theyre both so fake.

I think people are so mean to celebrities because they loathe the fact that they earn lots of money, lead a better lifestyle and it's the "tall poppy" syndrome - once you reach the top they just love to knock you off the perch.
