You are like a lot of kids so don't feel bad. Many parents just don't know how to talk to their children or when that times should be so like many others you found out from friends. The important thing to realize is that there is a lot of false information out there and many times people will tell you things that are not true and can even be dangerous. Search on google and yahoo for sex education or about questions you have and compare information. Today there is enough answers to any question on-line that truthful and right information is out there for the learning. That's the important thing .. not how you learn about it but that you are smart enough to realize that there is no one perfect source of information and that it's normal to hear from someone else.

I don't remember who told me, but I can remember me and my friends hanging out in third grade talking about our parents having sex. Good times. The first time I really learned the details must have been fifth grade. Modified sex ed they taught at school. And after that I just picked up things on my own, from various websites and the like. My parents never talked to me about that stuff, and I don't think they plan on it. They'd rather ignore the fact that their daughter is going to be sleeping with other people's daughters.

I must have said something to my parents because I remember a VERY early conversation where I said "What if he goes to the toilet inside you by accident" but later on a very liberal friend of the family was pregnant and she gave me the book 'Where did I come from' to read. Answered more questions than I ever would have thought of!!
I heard somewhere a nice way of explaining it 'When a Mommy and Daddy love each other they have a special type of hug and nine months later, a baby comes along' lol! You know now right? Get the book if you don't.

How I first learned of sex... The first memory of any sexual activity was when I was real young (2'nd or 3'rd grade). Things kids find normal, but parents flip out on. Playing doctor or what not, I remember being in the closet of my bedroom and the neighbor girl was over (same age) and we weere showing eachother our "private parts". I even have memories of trying to have sex. But not actual sex, just putting peices in places. But that being over 15 years ago, I am confused as to weither it actually happened or not. And if at the time I was even aware of what "sex" was. But besides that I learned about sex in school where the majority of kids learn about it, and not from sex ed, but from class mates.

unfortunately i found out on my own too which is no good. I didn't like my first time and knew nothing which made it worse. I REALLY wish someone had told me something. Especially for us girls we should have someone to talk to about that stuff without having to find out on our own. I try to tell all other girls I meet to wait til you are old enough to understand what you are doing and what comes after it's already done.

I guess I learned about it from friends (whoa some kinda misinformation) and sex ed in the 6th grade. My mother never talked about things like that.....I found alot out on my own and i could ask my Aunt a few things.

Nobody told me about sex. I learned some things from people at school, then mostly, I learned from porn. Yes, I saw porn from the age of 12 or 13.
