Someone turned me on to the fact that he was talking about breaking through into a higher state of consciousness.
Breaking out of our ordinary reality into something bigger.

It's talking about drugs and getting high. Getting a different kind of consciousness. Jim Morrison was very much into anything that would afford an altered view on life and the universe.

As stated before drugs, sex and rock and roll! In this particular case, his Ecstasy being with his women and going to a whole new level of "being"! Plus he did have a thing about suicide too! Heavy man!
