wut is a true friend??

i have alot of friends and I have been trying to find out which ones are true friends, that will have my back forever. so could you tell me some characteristics of a true friend, so i can see which of my friends fit the description of a "true friend".

All my friends are the people I chosen to have in my life. They are the people I am always going to be there for and who will always be there for me. What really makes it cool is we all know that we don't have to talk everyday, we just know that we are there for each other, support each other, opinions mean the world to each other. Good friendship is about understanding, trust, being non judgmental at the right moments, and then kicking them in the a** when they need it. It isn't all about common interests its about common souls and I truly I think that all my friends are my soul mates! That is what true friends are all about to me.

I also have a lot of friends but one true one sometimes we can go for years not seeing or keeping in contact with each other but once we get together it's seems like we where never apart from each other and we both know if things get really bad we can call no questions asked we there for each other

a true friend is somebody who cries when your sad...who understands pretty much everything you are feeling inside. a person you can call just to talk an keep a conversation going with. a friend who will be there for you even when you mess up. somebody you can tell everything too without you having to worry if they will tell other people...that is a true friend.
