Ok. So everyone says that God created Adam and Eve and all these animals. But then we have 100's of fossils and bones that dinosaurs. Also we have fossils of apes from different Era's. Did God creation Dinosaurs then, did he create pre-mature apes. Then wouldn't that whole Adam and Eve Story be false because I really don't think cavemen can talk to eachother. Sincerely,
Confused Christian

First off I would like to say that the theory of evolution has nothing to do with humans or creation of our world as many anti-evolutionists seem to believe. Next, if you deny evolution than how can you explain antibiotic resistant bacteria, insecticide resistant insects, etc, etc, etc. If you confuse evolution and human evolution then that is your own issue as so many have previously posted. Lastly, about our own HUMAN evolution, if you think that humans do not evolve, then you believe we are not a living part of this natural world and deny HERITABLE MUTATION. If you deny all of this and still deny evolution, human or not, then I truly believe you are a lunatic and don't believe in worldly fact. You might as well say the world is flat and pray to the sun God. PLEASE DO NOT DISREGARD SCIENCE AS SO MANY PEOPLE DO, LOOK AT THE FACTS (NOT THE PROPAGANDA THAT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE MAY FILL YOU WITH) AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU WILL COME TO UNDERSTAND EVOLUTION AND ITS KEY CONCEPTS WHICH IS THE ONLY THING WE CAN REALLY BANK ON IN THIS WORLD.

Good question. I struggled with that, and I still am. It's hard, I know. Science and God always seem to be at ends. Think of it this way, though: Science is a way of explaining the world that God created our world. Make sense? Problem is, science is a human invention.

As far as the dinosaurs, there's nothing wrong with them existing at the same time as Adam and Eve and stuff. However, when the Great Flood came along, they got loaded in the Ark. When they came off, they simply were not able to survive. Before the flood, it had never rained, and, according to many bible researchers and scholars, a huge mist came up every morning and watered everything. Also, before the Great Flood, the oxygen content was a lot more. So, when the dinosaurs came off the boat, there was not enough oxygen to support those gigantic creatures. So, they died.

As far as the dating of dinosaur bones goes, carbon-dating and such could very well be flawed. But I really can't explain or it would take a very long time. Just know that evolution and God are two very different things. Since we have never seen evolution ever really in action, we can't REALLY prove. So, I'd go with God. Honestly.

Personally, I'm leaning towards the atheist side, myself. But those are for different matters.

Most cultures have their own creation stories. These are used to explain to people a deeper truth about the origin and development of human beings. The story of Adam and Eve falls into this category. It has little to do with the science of evolution. If Adam and Eve did not actually exist, how would that affect the faith you have? IPersonally, 'd be more concerned about how I am living out the words in the Sermon on the Mount. Best wishes.

Just because your a Christian does not mean that you have to throw science out the door. Many Christians believe that what makes 'Adam and Eve' different from anything that came before them has nothing to do with physical attributes, but everything to do with a soul----which only God can provide. Many, Many orthodox theologians will discuss the Adam and Eve story as an ancient 'myth'. People get up in arms over the term 'myth' because they feel that using that terms means that there is no truth in it---a very big error. There have been books written on this, find one and read it.

Have you ever heard of the Genesis gap? Look at Genesis 1:1, then look at Genesis 1:2. No time is indicated. What happened in between V1 and V2? It could be billions of years. Who knows?

What I'm saying is the Bible is up for interpretation. Anyone who believes that the earth was created and everything here was created in 7 normal days is foolish. They're ignorant.

This is my opinion (of course). The Bible is the word of God. Have you ever been misunderstood? Have you ever played the telephone game where one person starts with a phrase, it gets passed along from person to person, and in the end it comes out completely different? Maybe that's what happened. God is infallible and great, and we can never repay Him for what he's given us. God is infallible, humans are not.

As a sidenote:

Scientists use research to uncover facts. They take the facts and ask this question: "What conclusions can we make based on these facts?"

Creationists ask the opposite: "Here is the conclusion, what facts can we find to support it?"

Christianity was made up to control people before the world was more organized.there was creation, but that was such a long time ago, even hyperdimension has no actual information. But they do have information that the "Tall whites" who as some of you know have visited and mined this planet for centuries and the skeletal remains have been found that are 10 to 12 feet tall, but the Gov and religous factions would just as soon not broadcast that info as they are protective of their paradigm. They were master geneticists and this planet was used for experimentation and the different races here came from different systems as workers mostly for the tall whites. We are actually all aliens on this planet. There is some adaptation and inter breeding that has changed some of the species around. But humans have always been humans.

Hi
did you ever read the bible?
This is not meant as a mean question.
Look what you will find.
Moses is speaking to people of small training in school - slaves out of the clay holes of Pharaoh.
What there know is a Day of Labor. starting at morning and ending at evening.
Now look what you find in that story -
God created heaven and earth.
The question for you is - is there a God or not - you have to find the answer for your self.
If you look at the days of creation, there do not speak against evolution.
The days are meaning a period of Work - Starting to build a solar system takes time, but it starts at one point and ends at a point, call it a day.
Then the next step can start, and it will end and start the next step and so on. Every step - call it a day.
Adam - is a Hebrew word and can mean Adam as name or humans as hole. Take it in this way as humans. Eve is a noble name and means in English Mother of all living.
Go to different areas of this old nice world and you can speak to people living in caves. If you are willing to learn there tong
By the way, my dog talk to other dogs, but I have problems to get every word. Look around and you will find people with a other way to speak.

Why does it have to be God vs evolution? Why could not of God guided the evolutionary process. It really does not go against anything the Bible says.

God created a world of gravity, cells, DNA, radiation, EM waves. Why could it not of been as the scientists say and still be to the glory of God?????

Genesis was only a literary account of something that helped explain the relation of God to man. It does not mean that what was written in Genesis is exactly how many artist have pictured it for hundreds of years. It is very very likely that all the elements of the creation story was analogies to explain the unexplainable.

ok, i took an anthropology class and my professor told me about this, so here goes:

way back when the clergy ruled the european nation, there were VERY few archeaologists (who were men of course). well, one day, they discovered fossils, dinosaur fossils. This kind of appalled the nation, and the clergy. To solve the problem of those fossils, the clergy said that God was "experimenting" on different types of animals, but didn't work out. So, God destroyed them on earth, and the bones remains. And, thus clearing up some confusion to those christian believers. There was a term for this theory, but i forgot what it was called, sorry.

But, of course, there are different sides to evolution and religion.

well hope that helps you!

God created the earth and all that is in it, in 6 days but God's time is not the same as ours. He created the animals and then man, at the last but still, a lot of time passed. One of God's days is 1000 or more of our years. Plus He rested on the 7th. That means another 1000 or more years before time, as we understand it began. Who's to say what animals passed through existence in that length of time? Who's to say there wasn't a certain amount of evolution that went on? We know that evolution exists. It is the way animals, even humans adapt to their environment to survive. The only argument has been whether or not Man came from monkey. God does not use magic to make miracles and create. He uses natural means. Therefore it's quite likely that many changes happened during the creation. Changes, which caused whole species and geneses to disappear. Even before Adam and Eve were created. People tend to put too much enchanted magic into their thinking when it comes to Gods ways. All we need to know is that God created all things. It is Satan who puts into the mind of man, doubts because of what hasn't been explained. Personally, I have seen too much to doubt the great plan God Has for us, his children. What's important is to live your life with faith so that you too have an unshakable testimony of the divinity of Christ our Lord. Don't concern yourself with things that we can't explain. We will understand them when the time is right.
