Buy the oil in advance
Buy the right oil filter
Buy a really cheap oil filter wrench
Buy an oil drain pan
If you're environmentally conscious, get a one-use drain pan that allows you to recycle
If your owner's manual doesn't tell you where the oil drain plug is, go to the library, look at a manual and find it
Put on a really grubby set of clothes
Have two rags nearby
Run the car engine for 1 to 2 minutes to make the oil sdlightly warm
Turn the engine off
Skooch under the car with the drain pan and a wrench
Put the drain pan right under the drain plug
Remove the drain plug
Let the oil drain into the pan
Put the pan under the oil filter
Remove the filter with the filter wrench
Put on the new filter---carefully -- tight but not extremely tight
Put the drain plug back in as tight as you remember it was when it came out
Skooch out from under the car
Find and open the oil filler cap at the top of the engine
Fill with the right amount of oil, according to the manual
Put the filler cap back on
Pull the dipsticik
Wipe it off
Put the dipstick back in
Pull it out.
Make sure the new clean oil is up to "fill" level
Put the dipstick in
Double check the tightness of the drain plug and the filter
Turn on the engine
Run it one minute
Check under the car for new dripping oil
If none appears, congratulations
Recycle everything you can

First get under the car\truck and look for the oil container. Second take of the little bolt from the container and let the oil drain. Place the new oil in the car and change the oil filter which is also up under the car. If you bring the old 1 into auto zone they will know which one to give u. Sorry I could not be more precise

It's pretty easy, but a little messy.

1) Buy a oil pan, new oil, funnel.
2) Place the oil pan underneath the oil drain screw bolt. It's at the
bottom of the car's engine.
3) Wear gloves. Unscrew the bolt.Don't lose the bolt nor the washer.
4) When you unscrew it, the old oil will start pouring out into the pan.
5) Wait till the all of the old oil drips out.
6) Re-screw the bolt until tight. Remember to use the washer.
7) Put the funnel into the oil intake.
8) Pour the new oil into funnel. Your car's user manual will say how much oil your car needs. Your oil change is finished.
9) Pour old oil into a container.
10) Most locales consider old oil to be a hazardous waste. Depose of it properly. Some gas stations will take it for a fee.

you start by buying the right oil and filter for the vehicle that is being changed than you get an oil pan to catch the oil put the vehicle up on stands unless it is high enough to get under without them than you get a socket and wrench making sure the socket is the appropriate one you loosen the bolt on the oil pan that is usually at the bottom of the pan remove it let the oil drain loosen and remove the filter. Once the oil is drained replace the bolt and tighten it don't overtighten, get the new filter put a little oil around the gasket of the new filter and replace it after this is done fill with oil and check the oildipstick to ensure you have the proper amount of oil in it anymore questions let me know

On what exactly??

If its a car you need to buy a new oil filter and oil.
You will also need tools like ring spanners and a drain tray.

There is a bolt on the bottom of the motor you need to unscrew and drain the oil out of. Change the oil filter with the new one. Put the bolt back in and pour the oil through the top engine oil hole.

Cheers

Place a pan under the car where the oil comes out when you open the plug. This drains the old oil. Open the cap and pour in the new oil. Before you do it, replace the drain plug.
