It does not mean that you are pregnant. The late period could be a side effect of stopping the birth control. I would wait another week, then take another pregnancy test. If you are really concerned, make an appointment with your doctor. I would guess it is probably just a side effect from stopping the birth control.
Good Luck and best wishes.
Just curious to why you stopped the B-Control, are you trying to get pregnant?

If you just came off the pill then there is a very good chance that those hormone changes in your body is why you haven't gotten your period yet. When I stopped taking the pill my periods were irregular for about a year. If I were you I would just call my obgyn and give them the info, they may schedule you for a blood pregnancy test, but at least you will know the definite answer. Good Luck! (I don't think you are pregnant hun)

if you took 2 birth control tests and they both turned out to be negative- your probably not pregnant. a lot of different factors can cause delayed periods (stopping and starting birth control, stress, etc.) this isn't really a question that can be positively answered by people on a question and answer board. if your still concerned after getting two negative tests make an appointment with your obgyn or your local planned parenthood to take a lab test and find out for sure

You could be late because of getting off then back on birth control. That sometimes can mess it up. I would think if you were pregnant, the pregnancy test would have detected it if you were missing your period.

If you just went off the pill, it's normal for your period to be off. I skipped mine the first month off the pill.
