We each have the power to change the world from the smallest simplest effort to a life dedicated to making a difference. A genuinely pleasant greeting, a good answer to these questions, a concerted effort to change oneself, all these things are great. Imagine if only 5 million of the 365 million Americans sent $1 to New Orleans to assist with the rebuilding what a difference that would make. What if we all decided to be Peace? To stop warring with ourselves and our loved ones, the people we meet or work with? What if we decided to live lives of Beauty, Joy, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Vibrancy, Peace and Loving Kindness? It all starts with us, so what about you?

I try to pass the "Word" along to people to
go to the Movie, "An Inconvenient Truth",
This film can answer all your questions
with what Global Warming is all about.

Global Warming could be the most serious
problem facing mankind, right now.

Global Warming has the power to destroy
the earth, as we now know it. We may wind
up with an earth that looks like Mars. A big
ball of dirt with nobody to play in it.

Send letters to all Politicians to start Replanting
Forests. Trees maintain the balance of Oxygen
and Carbon Dioxide in our Atmosphere.

Cleaning up Auto Emissions is a step in the right direction, but that doesnt produce the Oxygen
that trees do, that we all need to breathe. And trees
have a big cooling effect.

Wow! That takes me back to the 60s and 70s-"give peace a chance"!

Unfortunately all of my generation, myself included, dropped the ball. We had a great idea, actually many great ideas, but somehow in growing up life got in the way.

We did say over and over,"just give peace a chance". And we asked,"What are we fighting for?" And look,we are right back in the same types of war as Vietnam.

We were all supposed to conserve. Everything from water to tin cans.In Ohio, where I live, anyway we do not recycle anything by demand. It's strickly voluntary.

I will promise I will greet all people with a smile.

I will recycle my metal from pop cans to vegetable cans.

I will recycle my newspapers.

I already have a place of "charity" that I give to,so I am sorry New Orleans.

I challenge everyone who reads this to do one thing to better mankind.

And I thank the author of this question.

There are a lot of things that individuals can do to improve the planet, but giving more money to New Orleans is not one of them. In fact money is only part of the equation, it also takes hard work and commitment to make a difference.

The one thing that I did today to make the world a better place is volunteer. I know it might sound very little but if everyone in the world gave up a little bit of their time everyday I think the world would be a better place!

Ever since I was little my Aunt and Uncle have taught me,
" Do unto other's as you would want do unto you"
I firmly live by that and you would'nt believe what a difference it makes in life. Yes sometimes it does'nt work but most of the time it does, you just have to look past everyone's fault's.
