Yes.
In the day the sun lights your side of the earth (and the other side of the earth calls in night) and at night it doesn't and the other side of the arth calls it night).
Near the poles days and nights can last a very long time due to the tilt of the earth, but most of us experience them as a part of a 24 hour period.

Yes, Day is when the sun lights up the earth.
Night is when the sun is on the other side of the earth and the earth blocks the light and darkness is on the one side that is called Night.

You will get these answers:

2.No because nothing really changes, you are only in the shadow of the planet.

Day is the light of God and night is the absence of this light. This light is God's presence and it pervades the entire universe. It is what keeps the universe functioning. The light is more than God's intelligence, it is his love. The bible tells us in 1 John that God is love. God shed his light on the first day of creation as a preliminary to the creation process. The absence of God's light is darkness, the realm in which the devil dwells. The devil is referred to as the angel of light because he stands not in the light of God, but in his own light which focuses upon his darkness. God separated the light from the darkness because the light of God can never coexist in the same space as the darkness of the devil.

The only thing that is definded by night and day is time. If you lived near the artic circle, your day could be many many hours and likewise with night. So we roughly definded day as being the hours of 6am to 6pm, and night as being 6pm to 6am regardless if there is sun out or not.

Obviously, you are visiting from another planet.
Earthlings love our time day/night, gives us time to sleep, and
work at life during the day. Hope this helps !
